Jenice Armstrong wrote an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer entitled: “Ex-Eagle Malcolm Jenkins – NFL Defensive Back is teaching #Philly kids how to build #wealth.

But this is ridiculous! How did #MalcomJenkins get wealth in the first place? You build #wealth from wealth! I address this issue in my book @ https://www.amazon.com/Neoliberalism-Globalization-Inequality-Poverty-Resistance-ebook/dp/B094LLXY8K. Give kids access to wealth.

Give the kids equal opportunities especially those kids who are at the back of the line or are usually disadvantaged and come from poverty and lack! How can they build on something they do not have or there is a lack of access or access is limited? Unless you’re telling them to become sports stars, or celebrities or Rappers. And Jay-z will tell you that he started out selling drugs or doing some informal creative ventures in order to get the capital he needs to get to the next level because poor black and brown kids do not have the “ties” or collateral to access the initial investments needed.

It is said that #God created the heaven and earth “#ex-nihilo”. Out of nothing came something. But wealth doesn’t behave like that in a Neoliberal world. It doesn’t happen from nothing.

We live in an economic ethic based on nepotism, and greed and connectionism. So, we have to look at the systems that prevent wealth from spreading

Give kids access and money then teach them how to build from that. It requires political and policy, lobby and strategic arrangements.

Let me tell you I started a business and how is it going? “Work-in-positive progress”. Well, I have to struggle and fight and break my bank without any opportunity or loan or help and I’m still working hard. It’ll take me some time. Others give up. But I won’t. But we don’t come from wealth, and we will largely live working class or middle-income life if we don’t make it big on the lotto or get a sports contract that pays and others like Jay-Z sell drugs then use that to launch his music career. Unless that’s what you’re telling the kids. They had a PPP AND SBA. How many got it who really needed it. Who have the connections and nepotism that can realize that?
