Photo Image of a Recent Accident in Philadelphia where the Driver “Hit and Run”

I’m driving down #manheim road just now in #Philadelphia and I turned unto a street and I saw several emergency vehicles police cars with flashing lights. Then I saw an overturned vehicle and a feet away another car smashed up. I drove on & made a turn unto a minor road & saw a damaged car… being pushed. It was dented at the front and looking twisted. Two people were pushing the car, a guy and a girl looking quizzical & lethargic. I drove up slightly to a streetlight and saw a Jeep with a man looking sweaty and nervously explaining on his phone to the apparent owner.

“… It’s not all that bad,” he said as he goes to the back to push in the bumper which seemed rather intact. Compared to the other car that smashed in his, the car seemed to have only suffered almost no damage just minor scratches on the back bumper. He turned to me & said “they’re drunk, hit my car in back & wanna blame me 😳

But it’s chronic, the number of accidents I’m seeing in Philadelphia since #Covid retreated, and everything goes back to some normality. I cannot tell you the number of accidents I’ve witnessed or heard about in the city as it is alarming and surpasses pre-COVID figures. The driving is #crazy.

Moreover, one insurance company @LibertyMutual whose insured hit my car & continued driving without stopping, cannot fix my car because as the investigator said “they are overwhelmed” so I must go to my insurance company #progressive & that the insured has denied it even after we submitted videos of the hit. The investigation was shady and shoddy. In fact, after my follow up they emailed I say that they could not find the videos.

Video has been removed.
An Accident in Philadelphia on April 20, 2021, where another car sped through an intersection in an effort to catch a yellow light and eventually hit my car damaging the left rear-view mirror and speeding off…

But the point is really that there seem to be an upsurge in accidents in #philadelphia so that the (2nd tier) insurance companies (who ensure high risk) are unable to fulfill their obligations. It’s becoming chronic over the past two months & is surpassing pre-covid levels.

Note: This was first posted as several tweets via @RenaldoMckenzie. After the tweets. A Representative at Liberty Mutual responded saying

I’m sorry to hear about your experience and can understand your concern. I’ll be glad to look into this for you. Would you please send us a DM with your claim number? Thank you. -Brian

I am currently working on the matter with Liberty Mutual who have reopened the case.
