Gaza War Update between Israel and Hamas/Hezbollah: On October 7, 2023 Hamas conducted a covert operation in Israel, bombing huge parts of Israel and killing thousands without any warning or western intelligence operatives knowing. The attack was stealthily and deadly.

Since then, Israel has retaliated, after PM of Israel Netanyahu announced that Hamas will pay with their lives promising an attack to remember. Hamas has not backed down, taking more hostages and gaining support from Hezbollah working on another front in the region.

To date, this is what we know:

  • At least 5,700 people have been killed in the war on both sides, including at least 1,400 Israeli civilians and soldiers, 32 Americans and 4,300 Palestinians.
  • Two American hostages, Judith and Natalie Raanan, were released by Hamas on Friday following Qatari mediation efforts, several remain in captive.
  • President Biden announced Thursday he will make an “urgent budget request” to Congress for $105 billion in military aid to both Israel and Ukraine.

  • The Israeli border was closed after a brief opening to allow aid, including food and medical supplies, to cross into Gaza. However, fuel was not included, and thousands more aid trucks are needed. This means the border will need to be opened for longer periods and on a consistent basis.

Question: why were these 2 Americans the only Americans to be freed by Hamas?
Note: Watch a True Story in Prose: An Eye for An Eye, a short satire or story written in prose about the history of the Palestinian-Israeli Conflicts which resurfaced in 1947 – 48 after the United Nations had drafted a plan to create a presence in the Middle East.
The narrative of Jews reclaiming their land provided a useful way to justify the invasion of Gaza in 1947 where Israel took over parts of the Middle East including Jerusalem thereby displacing millions and drawing the ire of the masses which bread Terrorists today.
